image of Netherlands is a DVD-box consisting of five DVD’s with all the highs and lows of the Dutch history detailed in image. Over 20 hours of footage from the Polygon-and NOS-do you see as the main journal history facts relive from 1920 to 2000. Part 1 covers the period 1920 to 1945, in which of course the war years over discussed. But also the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, the third elfstedentocht, the construction of the Afsluitdijk and developments in aviation passing among other things.

Part 2 (1945-1960) is dedicated to the reconstruction after the war, the throne away from the inauguration of Queen Wilhelmina and Queen Juliana. But also the war in Indie and Korea and of course the big flood of 1953 in 1953 are not lacking on this DVD. Part 3 (1960-1975) contains images of, inter alia, the construction of the Zeeland bridge, the coldest elfstedentocht, the marriage of Princess Beatrix and is Prime Minister Joop den Uyl. Volume 4 (1975-1990) and part 5 (1990-2000) contain a lot of images that most of us remember. So come on part 4, among other things, the Lockheed affair and the fall of the Cabinet den Uyl to bid. Is that the new Prime Minister dries van Agt and the inauguration of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. On part 5 of the DVD box, of course, come the Bijlmer disaster, the plane crash in Faro, the Gulf war and Kosovo over.

Strengholt will on March 16, 2006 another DVD that may offer the most beautiful and impressive images from 2000 to 2005, including, of course, the murder of Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh. Unfortunately there is no place in this box kept free for the sixth DVD, so these will have to add to the collection you loose. Definitely a great nice overview of Dutch history.
