AIFW: Daryl van Wouw

Daryl van Wouw’s

everyone wanted to see this show. Expectations were high because Daryl stayed for months in China over the past year to the production process of its clothing line to see with their own eyes and to adjust where necessary. In addition, Daryl had refused the invitation on the last year AIFW: Daryl van Wouw Fashion Week to show a new collection, because he opened his first shop in Amsterdam. After everyone had found his place along the catwalk in the crowded room, started the show. The collection he showed Sunday to the public is designed in the time that Daryl in China stayed and which he clearly inspired by the hit ge ï Chinese culture. In his creations he used colourful prints of self-designed and Chinese gelukskatjes and Chinese masks on wide tops, dresses and pantyhose/’s. the collection is very portable and intended for a large audience. The show ended with a series of dresses made of Red Chinese lanterns. This looked more like a joke than a dress that can be worn effectively. AIFW: Daryl van Wouw Daryl after the show received a big round of applause. Anyway went there votes on that Daryl has chosen for a little challenging road with its Chinese designs. The lampion dresses and the use of Chinese cats and masks layers, if you are in need of China thinks, rather obvious. It was missing the few-experimental collection of renewal, something we do by Daryl used to. With this collection he apparently wanted to reach a large audience, so there was little chance this year for risky designs. From August 2009, these designs to be purchased in the Daryl van Wouw on the Prinsengracht 705/a. all video/’s & collections of Fashion Week view? That can on!Check:! Photo/’s: (c) Peter Stigter
